My name is Jörgen and I am probably the first ever Hippo Butterknife. I am made from wood of the day, designed and handmade in Sweden.

About me

I'm made of wood. It can be any kind of wood depending on what I find in the forest. With the tail of brass included I am 17 cm long 5.5 cm high and 2 cm thick.

I come in a very exclusive gift box.

How to take care of me

I can stand on my own four feet so please let me do that!

After you have put butter on your sandwich just put me down on my feet again.

I do not like the dishwasher, it makes me claustrophobic which dries me out.

Every now and then I love being oiled with olive oil.

Save the hippos

The Turgwe Hippo Trust is a fund that started after the hippos' lives were threatened during the terrible drought of 1991-92 in southeastern Lowveld Zimbawe.

 

10% of the sales goes directly to Save the Hippos.
